I hung out with an incredible couple last night. A year ago, Tim Cromwell suffered a massive stroke. The stroke left him with a rare condition known as locked-in syndrome, where his body is completely paralyzed, but mentally he is totally aware of what is happening. The only movement he can control is his eyes, which he moves in specific ways to communicate with his wife.
Football season is on it’s way, folks! Here, the Edgerton High School football team practices drills on Tuesday evening. The Gazette is working on special section to preview the upcoming season, so I’ve been spending some time hanging out at the practices of the local teams.
Triplet Holstein calves were born at the surprise of a Footville dairy farmer. A rarity! While this is a pretty straight forward portrait of these little guys, it actually took a lot to get this photo. I had to corral them together, but they kept either running away or their wobbly legs would give out and would nuzzle themselves into the hay. Their greasy fur didn't make them easy to catch either.
